Everything you need to know — from first tap to full colors.
Hold the ring near the top of your phone (where the NFC antenna is). Your phone's browser will open automatically — no app download needed.
Find the activation code on the card inside your package (format: XXXX-XXXX). Tap your ring or go to fanring.app/activate, enter the code, then fill in your nickname, team, city, slogan, and any social accounts you want to link.
During activation you'll be asked to create a 4-digit PIN. Write it down somewhere safe — you'll need it to reclaim your ring on a new device. Without it you cannot access owner features on a different phone.
In your browser tap Share → Add to Home Screen (iOS Safari) or the ⋮ menu → Install app (Chrome on Android). This gives you full-screen mode and push notifications for match goals.

Go to Matchday tab → find the match → tap 📍 I Was Here. You can only check in once per match per day.
Use the "I Was Here" form to name any moment — a watch party, pub, or celebration. One custom check-in per day. Tap again tomorrow for a new one.
After check-in, tap the moment card that appears → tap the camera area to take a photo → tap Share card → to save it to your Memory Reel and upload your latest moment photo to your profile.
Allow location access from Connections → Share my location. If you're physically at a stadium or within the event radius, your check-in earns the Stadium Fan badge.
Tip: Check in to 3 different events to earn the Hat Trick badge. 5 events = Road Warrior. Check in 3 days in a row for the 3-Day Streak badge.
In the Matchday tab, find an upcoming match and tap 🔮 Predict. This locks the match into the Score Prophet form below.
Type the home and away goal totals you predict for full time. Tap Submit prediction. You can change your prediction before the match starts.
10 pts — exact score correct (e.g. 2–1 vs actual 2–1). 3 pts — correct goal difference (e.g. you said 3–1, actual was 2–0, both home wins by 2). Points add to your engagement score on the leaderboard.
Tip: Your first prediction unlocks the Score Prophet badge. 5 total = Oracle. Get an exact score = Called It.

After a successful check-in, a moment card pops up. Tap the camera area to take a photo of your view — stadium, watch party, or celebrations.
On the Overview tab, tap your moments strip or the Memory Reel button to see all your check-in moments in a scrollable gallery.
The most recent moment photo you share is uploaded and visible to visitors on your fan card. Older moments are stored on your device. Switching phones will clear local moment photos — your check-in history remains intact.
Note: Moment photos are stored on your device. If you clear your browser storage or switch to a new phone, local photos are lost. Your check-in history (dates, events) is always saved on the server.

Each ring can only be activated once. Once activated, a visitor who taps the ring sees your fan card. To reclaim ownership on a new device, use your PIN.
Only your latest moment photo is stored on the server. Older photos live in your phone's browser storage. Clearing browser data or switching phones will lose them.
Match scores, predictions, and goal alerts need an active internet connection. If you're offline, matchday data may be cached or unavailable.
Fan Ring is an independent fan product. All team names are used for identification purposes only. No official club crests or logos are used.
You can only create one custom moment check-in per day per ring. Match check-ins are limited to once per match.
